Brandon is located just east of Tampa and is an attractive community for residents who commute to Tampa or MacDill Air Force Base for work. . Although Brandon is not technically a city, the commercial & residential regions have grown rapidly over the past two decades.

Locals travel to nearby Ybor City or along the Leroy Selmon Expressway to Hyde Park for nightlife entertainment. However, Brandon has its own share of nightlife, bars & clubs, restaurants, golf courses and events. Most of the restaurants are along Route 60 and around the Brandon Mall, but journey outward and one will find some unique places to eat. Many car dealerships, shopping centers & chain restaurants line the streets especially along Route 60
