Westshore, Tampa Florida
The Westshore district of
Tampa is made up of several neighborhoods including Beach Park, Bel Mar Shores,
Culbreath Isles, Sunset Park Isles, and Stoney Point. The Westshore district itself
is bordered by several main parts of Tampa. To the south of Westshore is the Tampa
airport and Euclid Avenue. To the east is Tampa's Manhattan Avenue and to the west
is Old Tampa Bay.
All in all, the Westshore
district makes up the mid-western portion of the Tampa Bay Peninsula. The Tampa
homes in the Westshore have an "Old Tampa" charm dating back to the early 1920's
and 1930’s when many of the homes in this area were first built. Property
styles include quiet, traditional homes with large oak-lined grounds as well as
new waterfront estates with instant bay access. Many of the communities
in the Westshore district are gated or subdivided making this district both
quiet and secluded.
The Westshore area is
convenient to two major shopping malls, the Westshore Plaza and the International
Plaza. St. Petersburg is a short drive from this Tampa district.
